She was especially regimented to follow this kind of fitness routine because her post-pregnancy body required her to be back in the runway after four months. All the efforts proved successful, however, because during those months, her total weight loss resulted to about 20 pounds.
Alessanda’s exercise program was a regular two hours workout, done everyday, as she only had this small time- frame to go back in shape then. Yet, she still keeps the same exercise hours today, even when she isn’t required to walk the runaway or have Victoria’s Secret shows in line.
Alessandra Ambrosio’s Fitness Training
Alessandra worked with a personal fitness trainer, Leandro Carvalho. The cardio exercise meant doing a lot of climbing and walking. She also had resistance fitness training and made use of ankle weights. A capoeira routine was also part of her fitness exercise. Her fitness trainer later introduced the Brazilian Buttlift, which included hardcore squats and lunges, as well as some heavy aerobic exercise.
Her fitness trainer says, Alessandra, who gained so much during her pregnancy, (as she was indulging in Brazilian food and ice cream) had to pay the price. And Alessandra admits getting back in shape and achieving weight loss became a “no pain, no gain” deal.

Pause, then return the ball to the starting position by lowering your hips and rolling the ball backward. Do three to four sets of 8 to 12 reps.
Reverse Crunches
Lie face up on the floor with your palms facing down. Bend your hips and knees 90 degrees. Raise your hips off the floor and crunch them inward. Pause, and then slowly lower your legs until your heels neatly touch the floor. Do three sets of 15 reps.
Physioball Leg Curl
Lie on the floor with your calves on a Swiss ball and your arms at your sides. Squeeze your glutes to raise your hips off the floor soyour body is in a straight line from your shoulders to your ankles. Pause for a second, and then bend your legs to roll the ball toward your butt. Straighten your legs to roll the ball back out away from you, and then loweryour body to the floor. Do three to four sets of 10 to 12 reps.
Hanging Leg Raises
Grab a chin-up bar with an overhand, shoulder-width grip (or use elbow supports, if available), and hang from the bar with your knees slightly bent and feet together. Simultaneously bend your knees, raise your hips, and curl your lower back underneath you as you lift your thighs toward your chest. Pause when the fronts of your thighs reach your chest, and then slowly lower your legs back to the starting position. Do three to four sets of 8 to 12 reps.
Prone Cobra
Lie facedown on the floor with your legs straight and your arms next to your sides, palms down. Contract your glutes and the muscles of your lower back, and raise your head, chest, arms, and legs off the floor. Simultaneously rotate your arms so that your thumbs point toward the ceiling. At this time, your hips should be the only parts ofyour body touching the floor. Hold this position for 60 seconds, then rest one minute. Repeat three times.

‘Channing was in decent shape when I started working with him but like a lot of guys, he likes to eat fast food and sink a few drinks,’ says William J Harris.
Bulking up, however, wasn’t on the agenda. ‘Channing didn’t need to get bigger,’ says Harris. ‘In fact, we wanted him to lose weight quickly to make him look more agile, more like a fighter. The program I devised help him shift about 30 pounds in the three weeks before filming started!’
But rocking up to the set looking like a bodybuilder wouldn’t work either. ‘He needed to have strength, flexibility and endurance so I came up with a routine of rope turns and calisthenic body weight exercises, such as jumping jacks, burpees, press-ups, pull-ups and squats, to help him build that. I also threw in some classic compound moves using barbells and kettlebells.’
Exercise Routine
Channing Tatum was given three exercises to perform each session and had to complete as many ’rounds’ as he could within 20 minutes. ‘Working out at a high intensity keeps the heart pumping and burns more calories,’ says Harris. ‘For the main barbell lifts, such as deadlifts, military presses, squats and clean and jerks, we found a weight Channing could lift quickly and comfortably ten times while maintaining perfect form.’
‘We changed what we did every session to keep his mind engaged and his body guessing,’ Harris says. ‘I put him through a three-day-on, one-day-off routine and kept workouts to just 30 minutes. If you keep the intensity high you don’t need to train for any longer than that.’
If you’re more concerned with putting on muscle than burning fat, add more weight to these lifts and focus on completing four rounds in the session, rather than as many as you can in 20 minutes.
Exercise Day One
Warm-up – Five-minute jog.
Main workout – 20 minutes to do as many rounds as possible of 100 rope skips, 10 pull-ups and five clean and jerks.
Cool down – Five-minute light jog and stretching.
Exercise Day Three
Warm-up – Five minutes of skipping.
Main workout – 20 minutes to do as many rounds as possible of 400m sprints, 10 kettlebell swings and 10 press-ups.
Cool down – Five-minute light jog and stretching.
Exercise Day Four
Rest day before starting the routine again. To avoid getting bored during the following weeks, mix up the exercises from different sessions or include some of the additional ones listed below,
but leave at least one day’s rest between exercises that work the same muscle groups.

25 burpees
75 press-ups
50 sit-ups
25 box jumps
5 deadlifts
50 walking lunges
20 jumping jacks
5 military press
10 bench press

swapped takeaway pizzas for homemade wholewheat ones topped with organic veggies. Processed and frozen foods, salt, sugar and alcohol were all no-nos. We needed a low carb diet in order for him
to be able to lose weight.’

In her line of work as a lingerie and swimsuit model, it is imperative for the women to have a curvaceous body. Most models usually achieve this by fast diet and getting quick weight loss
as a result. With Alessandra’s work, however, the requirements are different. Healthy weight loss is more encouraged because between Victoria’s Secret and other runway models, the former are
required to have fuller, firmer and more toned bodies, with clear emphasis on that last one: toned. This is usually only possible by following a regularly good exercise program and taking on the
services of a fitness trainer for guidance.
Alessandra’s Exercise Program
The exercise programs Alessandra goes through are not quick and easy. She has to be disciplined about it, contrary to rumors that she hardly underwent a weight loss program. Her routine
mostly consisted of cardio exercise.
She relates her fitness and diet plan in an interview with People Magazine, “Because I had a baby and I had to lose pounds, I did a lot of cardio. This year is all about weights, squats and
lunges. After I gave birth, my diet was a very healthy diet, like no sugar, no bread.”
On top of a four-day exercise program, the young and beautiful model also does yoga exercise weekly. She was especially regimented to follow this kind of fitness routine because her
post-pregnancy body required her to be back in the runway after four months. All the efforts proved successful, however, because during those months, her total weight loss resulted to about 20
pounds.
Alessanda’s exercise program was a regular two hours workout, done everyday, as she only had this small time- frame to go back in shape then. Yet, she still keeps the same exercise hours today,
even when she isn’t required to walk the runaway or have Victoria’s Secret shows in line.
Alessandra Ambrosio’s Fitness
Training
Alessandra worked with a personal fitness trainer, Leandro Carvalho. The cardio exercise meant doing a lot of climbing and walking. She also had resistance fitness training and made use of ankle
weights. A capoeira routine was also part of her fitness exercise. Her fitness trainer later introduced the Brazilian Buttlift, which included hardcore squats and lunges, as well as some
heavy aerobic exercise.
Her fitness trainer says, Alessandra, who gained so much during her pregnancy, (as she was indulging in Brazilian food and ice cream) had to pay the price. And Alessandra admits getting back in
shape and achieving weight loss became a “no pain, no gain” deal.
Alessandra Ambrosio’s Diet Plan
Her weight loss program and diet plan also included eating mostly salads. She switched to brown rice for a healthier dose of carbohydrates. She doesn’t keep herself hungry but she can eat
anytime she wants by only eating small portions. In fact, there are days when the model indulges in chocolates. She also loves eating Japanese, Polish and Thai cuisine.
The model admits, though, that she sometimes sneaks in spicy and tasteful Brazilian food into her diet plan, if she can’t help it. She says that keeping weight loss diets is really a
challenge.
She also had a workout buddy during all this since her fellow Victoria’s Secret model, Heidi Klum also had to lose weight and shed off her pregnancy pounds, having given birth herself.

We have been cooking with different kinds of oil for hundreds if not thousands of years. Some cuisines like cooking with a lot of olive oil, some with Canola Oil, or sunflower oil and some with soy oil to name a few. When oil heats up it starts to smoke. The point at which the oil starts to smoke is called the smoke point. Some oils reach that smoke point sooner then others depending on the oil and its properties. The smoke point is usually in the vicinity of 225F to 350F. When oil heats up to its smoke point, you have definitely inflicted a lot of damage to that oil.
Damaging the Nutrients in Oil
- Heating causes loss of available nutrients in oils. It also looses its characteristic color, smell and taste. Those are damaged once oil reaches its smoke point.
- Heating oils can cause the formation of free radicals, highly reactive molecules that can damage the oil further by triggering unwanted oxidative reactions.
- Formation of unwanted aromatic substances (like polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons) can increase the risk of health problems including cancer!
- There is additional damage that takes place way before oils even reach smoke point!
So how should we cook?
If you are looking for the healthiest
possible way to cook your organic super food, do not use oil while you cook. That means you should not be frying food, and you should not be baking food. The healthiest way to cook
your organic products is steaming your food or Saute your food without oils. Use oil once the food is cooked, this waythe oil will not be damaged, it will taste great and your overall

What if we have to use oil in cooking, which oil is the least damaging to our health?
If you absolutely have to use oil to fry things, use oils that have more monounsaturated fat then usual and less polyunsaturated fat then usual.Olive oil is a better choice although frying will damage the valuable polyphenols in the olive oil. Corn oil is a worst choice for frying then olive oil . Another option would be oils in high-oleic like high-oleic sunflower or safflower that should be better able to the higher heat and does not have the same polyphenol levels asolive oil.
